High fidelity prototype for App With Games
Huayna
From Catarina Vilaça, Teresa Freitas e José Karnikowski
This app comes as a response to a challenge launched by Professors, involving developing a game influenced by the weather. The atmospheric conditions of the player's location impact the player's gameplay and experience.
The game in question is a resource management game, inspired by Age of Empires, Lord of the Rings, etc.
In this universe, our character emerges from the ashes of a destroyed civilization with only five survivors and with the challenge given by the god Inti to restart its reconstruction. To do so, you'll have to complete a series of challenges, represented as small games throughout the application, in order to be able to feed, clothe and house your people, creating possibilities for them to grow. One of the objectives of the game is to manage to maintain the population level, because if the number of essential goods goes down, the population number will remain the same.
The main character is in charge of managing all the village's resources and ensuring a good level of satisfaction for her villagers.
The Huayna civilization lives in the same climate as the player's geographic zone and the game's difficulty level will depend on that same climate. That is, if it is sunny and very hot for several consecutive days, the civilization will face a period of drought and consequently less harvests, less food and a lower level of satisfaction of the villagers.
