Performance.

In a time whem purnhub is accused of sex trafficking, that the subway we take to work is full of people that can easily touch us, in a time like any other where sexual predators are aloud to escape prison, I ask: what happens when our personal space is invaded?

Many of us already know the answer to this question, and it is about this discomfort that I want to work. This performance consists of an exercise about the borders of personal space: where the performer must establish a line between what is socially accepted and what is physically comfortable.

The spectator is asked to remove his coats before he enters the place where the performance takes place, so it can be done with more efficiency, and, when inside the room, to go towards an x drawn on the floor with flourishing tape. Inside there's two people who will perform a “non touch”, that is, they almost touch the viewer´s body but never do, creating a feeling of invasion.

The performers, already accustomed to the light reflected only by the tape, can see and move within the space, but for someone who has just entered it takes several minutes before their eyes can get used to it. The performers have complete control over this environment, but it’s the spectator who decides how long he wants to stay there.

The physical structure of the performance consists in a completely dark room with only one entrance/exit. To enter in this room the spectator has to cross a hall with barriers of cloth so no light enters when he/she arrives.
